"Hakame" Bowl - Blue Bird Pottery

"Hakame" or "Hakeme" refers to the traditional Japanese technique of freely applying brush strokes with a hard bristled brush. These "Hakame" style ceramics with horizontal strokes and natural colour speckled clay are reminiscent of white birch bark.
